Rat ADME-Tox

Plexpress Rat ADME-Tox gene library for TRAC (TRanscriptional Analysis with the aid of affinity Capture) provides a flexible and cost-effective way to measure gene expression of multiple target genes from a single sample. Gene panels are custom made and contain the genes of interest as well as reference genes used for data normalization chosen by the customer. TRAC measurement is made directly from rat liver RNA. The Rat ADME-Tox gene library contains e.g. genes involved in hepatotoxicity, drug transport, and drug metabolism.

Technical note: Screening of ADME-Tox markers from rat liver samples with TRAC

The Plexpress Rat ADME-Tox service offers the followings advantages over alternative methods:

  • Multiplex measurement of up to 30 gene markers in rat liver RNA
  • No cDNA conversion required
  • Degradation of RNA avoided, high reproducibility with CVs below 10%
  • Multiple housekeeping genes available for use in the same assay (e.g. ACTB, ATP5b, CYC1, EIF4a2, GAPDH, PGK1, RPL13a, SDHA, YWHAZ)
